Drag & Drop it on top of the main window, or select it in the new instance dialog. You can import the modpack zip files from CurseForge and FTB: Tracking of FTB launcher instances has been replaced with direct import of Curse modpacks. This should be a much more reliable solution going forward, because it allows fixing issues without releasing new versions of MultiMC or reinstalling Forge/LiteLoader/others. The metadata can be found at v1., the endpoint that was used during development will be replaced by documentation. Instead of including the metadata JSON files directly in the instances, the instances now contain a new mmc-pack.json file that specifies versions to be used. This goes along with some changes to the instance format and to the metadata format. Instead of generating and storing the files at the point of installation, they are updated hourly on the server and can be fixed when something goes wrong. So, happy New Year everyone, let the madness begin! Changelog New or changed featuresĬontact with Mojang, Forge and LiteLoader servers is no longer handled by MultiMC, but a metadata server. So if you just want to follow development, or want to help with something, it’s the place to look.Ģ018 will be a very interesting year for Minecraft. The big idea and bug pile still lives on workflowy. Part of that will be documenting the current instance and metadata formats, further streamlining of those formats and then improvements necessary to fully support anything and everything that comes along. Minecraft 1.13 is coming, along with some big change in Forge and modding in general. When it comes to the future of MultiMC, it is practically set in stone for the next few months. I’ll just let the changelog speak for itself.

In the past, manufacturers often used hidden headlamps to circumvent headlight height regulations in the United States. Subsequent legislation led to hidden headlamps falling increasingly out of favor. A relatively large variety of cars incorporated hidden headlamps in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and up to the early 2000s. Hidden headlamps regained popularity in the mid-to-late 1960s, first in Europe but particularly in the US where aerodynamic headlamps were not permitted. The popularity of this feature has waxed and waned over time. However, power hidden headlamps would not appear on a production vehicle until 1962 with the Lotus Elan. Powered hidden headlamps first appeared on GM's concept car in 1938, the Buick Y-Job, and appeared on concept cars for several years after, including the 1951 General Motors Le Sabre. In the Cord, a pair of cranks on either side of the dashboard could be turned by hand to bring out the headlamps when needed. Hidden headlamps first appeared on the Cord 810 in November 1935 at the New York Auto Show and shortly after on a custom example of the Alfa Romeo 8C in 1936. Hidden headlamps, also commonly known as pop-up headlamps, pop-up headlights, flip-eye headlamps, or hideaway headlights, are a form of automotive lighting and an automotive styling feature that conceals an automobile's headlamps when they are not in use.ĭepending on the design, the headlamps may be mounted in a housing that rotates so as to sit flush with the front end as on the Lamborghini Miura or Porsche 928, may retract into the hood and/or fenders as on the 1963–2004 Chevrolet Corvette, or may be concealed behind retractable or rotating grille panels as on the 1966-1970 Dodge Charger, 1970-1971 Mercury Cyclone, or the 1965 Buick Riviera. Quoting: ExpandingManRimworld is one of those games that seems amazing but I've really struggled to enjoy. Last edited by Philadelphus on 22 October 2022 at 8:54 am UTC I know RimWorld's all about the procedurally-generated stories and the characters play into that, but I found myself much more attached to my colony by playing it more like a Dwarf Fortress start where I got to customize everything. In RimWorld, you start with one, three, or five pawns, chosen from a randomly generated pool, which makes it difficult to reliably cover the skills you need early on. (Thinking about it some more, in Dwarf Fortress you start with seven dwarfs who are blank slates for you to customize, which allows you to get a pretty good spread of coverage for the skills that initially are the most useful. This is not to say that you should enjoy it, or will if you do the same thing, more that I understand where you're coming from and just wanted to share what I'd found that helped me finally enjoy the game in case it helps. I gave myself two four extra colonists and then tweaked all five seven of them to have mostly positive traits and a good spread of skills, and for whatever reason that got me through the initial first few hours where I'd usually lose interest and on to where I actually had a thriving colony of (eventually) over twenty pawn. What I found finally got me enjoying it long enough to keep going past that initial start was in large part a mod that lets you edit your starting colonists and situation. Guess it's time to go back and try again, hopefully I'll stick with it long enough to get over the initial boredom. So, I pledged to the original Kickstart campaign for RimWorld, including access to various alpha and beta builds along the way…and yet, up until this year, I never really got into it, even though I probably had some forty hours or so of started-and-abandoned playthroughs over the years I usually start, play a few hours, then get bored and quit. Now to wait for enough of my mods to update to start a game… Starting possessions for some colonists.įirst expansion I'm picking up on release, as I wasn't particularly interested in RimWorld when the previous two came out.Actually useful shelves that store lots of stuff.Painting and color customization for walls, floors, furniture, and lights. On top of that you also get gene editing, giving you the ability to create xenohumans with special exotic traits.Īs a reminder on the 1.4 patch that includes: There's also the ability to turn colonists into a mechanitor, a person with a special brain implant that lets them psychically command semi-living machines. With you being able to have children colonists now, who will grow up and you will be able to choose traits for them and hopefully turn them into productive workers. This big new expansion really does change the game in quite a number of ways. Ludeon Studios have just released a rather big expansion to the colony building sim RimWorld with Biotech, along with the free 1.4 update for all players. IRS rules say that to get the EV credit, “The original use of the vehicle began with you.” Ask the dealer: Has the car been registered/titled? On the sale documents, will it be marked as new or used? If the dealer says the vehicle is eligible for the tax credit, ask for a note to that effect, just in case. Do I get the credit if I buy a dealer demo or service loaner EV with hardly any miles on it? The seller should work some/most of the credit into a lower monthly rate. taxes–that calls for an income of about $53,000–then you might consider leasing. Are there cases where I should lease not buy? Ask the sales rep or finance & insurance person to show you how much is applied. On a typical 36-month lease, the payments could be up to $208.33 lower ($7,500 divided by 36). But you should expect to get back most, if not all, of the up-to-$7,500 in the form of lower lease payments. The tax credit goes to the first buyer of the vehicle, which for leases is typically the leasing company or its financial partner. Does the EV tax credit benefit me if I lease an EV? But the selling price, used, should reflect, more or less, that the effective purchase price was $7,500 less than the sticker price. No, it’s for new vehicles only, and applies only to the first buyer. Does the tax credit apply to used vehicles? What if the first owner never applied for the tax credit? For individual buyers, the tax credit only offsets taxes in the calendar year you bought the vehicle. Can I get the balance in the following year? My taxes are less than the credit for the EV I just bought. Every EV has a battery big enough to quality for a $7,500 credit. The amount is somewhere between $2,500 and $7,500, based on the size of the battery. The federal program is a tax credit against what you owed the year you bought the vehicle. EV Tax Calculator FAQs Is this a tax credit, a tax deduction or an immediate rebate? How much? This last part may cost the administration the support of legislators in new South states that have been the site of most new auto plants the last 25 years, all non-union. The max credit requires the car to be U.S.-made, cost less than $80,000 and be built in a union factory. The rules may change if the Biden Administration’s infrastructure bill passes with up to $12,500 in credits, as currently envisioned. That may seem unfair but then if you can afford a $50,000 EV and you’ve managed to have a total tax liability of less than $7,500, not many people will feel sorry for you. Since they’re tax credits, you have to owe as much in taxes-meaning your total taxes for the year, not the remainder you might owe April 15-as you’ll get in tax credits. You have to buy not lease a vehicle although there are ways to collect while leasing, you have to be the very first person to buy (title and register) the vehicle and under current rules General Motors and Toyota/Lexus vehicles aren’t covered because they passed the current cap of 200,000 vehicles eligible for rebates. There are exceptions, explained in the FAQs below. In addition, about 20 states offer credits or rebates plus intangible benefits such as free charging, free municipal poking, lower highway tolls or single-occupant access to high-occupant vehicle (HOV) highway lanes. When you buy an electrified vehicle-battery electric vehicle (BEV) or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV)-most people are entitled to a credit on your federal taxes of $2,500 to $7,500. If you lease, the credit goes the the title-holder of the car, and some or most of the credit is used to reduce the monthly payments. The credit applies to the year you buy the vehicle and your tax credit is capped at how much you owe the year you buy the car. Federal EV tax credits of $2,500-$7,500 are available for new EVs and plug-in hybrids but not for hybrids. The word balloon reads "Suspected Web Forgery," and you have the options to "Get me out of here!" and "Ignore this warning." Unless you know the site, it's best to get out of Dodge. A large comic-strip word balloon emanates from the Phishing Protection warning icon - the red circle with the white dash that appears in the icon area at the right side of the Location bar (which also shows icons for things like secure sites, and so forth). So how does the Firefox tool work? Mozilla offers details on its Phishing Protection page, but it's really quite simple. Even so, this may be the one feature on which Mozilla is playing a bit of catch-up with Microsoft. On the other hand, Microsoft's code is also more prone to false positives. Although both offer protection, of the two, Microsoft's code seems a bit more advanced out of the box. Both also have a local list of suspect sites that connect with a larger, regularly updated list of sites. Both browsers warn their users when they load suspected counterfeit Web pages. It's very similar on paper to Internet Explorer 7's antiphishing functionality. Mozilla's built-in Phishing Protection may be its most important new feature. The new Add-ons dialog box has integrated control of both extensions and themes (Click to see larger view) The organization is welcome, although it's a bit harder to find extensions than it used to be. Give it a few weeks things will settle back into place.Īlong with a minor update to the way the extensions manager works - a user interface tweak that merges extensions and themes into one dialog box called Add-ons - Mozilla has heavily revamped the Web site that supports things you add on to Firefox, including extensions, themes, search engines and plug-ins. Many others are affected, and already extensions are being updated or others are sliding in to take the place of others. Some of the popular extensions whose use is rendered either unworkable or unneeded by Firefox 2.0 include Feedview, SessionSaver, Resize Search Box, UndoCloseTab, FirefoxView, and Disable Targets for Downloads. The best advice I can give you is to stick to simpler extensions in the future. And remember, Firefox extensions are free. Mozilla and Microsoft are both pretty good about communicating their intentions. It's up to hardware makers to support operating systems, and it's up to Firefox extension developers to support new versions of Firefox. In the end, being angry that Firefox 2.0 doesn't support your pet extension is akin to blaming Microsoft because a new version of Windows doesn't support your 10-year-old printer.
